man oh man do I love coming back here. Every time I'm here in the valley for work I always make it a point to hit up teddys! My favorite Texas BBQ place by far, the staff always has the best recommendations & are always so nice, and the VALUE is unheard of anywhere else. Sure the standard bbq picks will price similar to other places, but their specialty plates??? Oh it's absolutely insane they knock it out of the park. I am always so floored by the quality & value. Today I was told to try the carne guisada and it did not disappoint, perfectly tender and packed with savory deep flavor paired perfectly with a fragrant fresh tortillas, 2 sides, and a drink for $10??????? In THIS economy???? Houston and Austin can't compete. And thank god because if I lived close by I'd be 10x my size and still afford some eggs!! As someone who particularly doesn't care for brisket (native Texan that's had to tolerate so many mid briskets), Teddys made me realize why brisket is so good and I was truly in shock. Couldn't explain in words - it's an experience! Please come and try them out!

We enjoyed our lunch here. First time at a Teddy's BBQ. You order at the counter as you walk in, then pay at the end of the line, then your food tray handed to you. Two of us shared the following: - Chopped brisket sandwich - 1/2 pound pork ribs (2-bones) - Creamed corn side - Loaded mashed potatoes side - Bread, pickles and onions - Banana pudding - 2 fountain drinks The food was all real good. On the way out, we stopped by the meat smoking area to watch them wrap some briskets. We'd come back to Teddy's.

First time visiting Teddys! This place is awesome. We did not select any sides so this review is just about meat and service. We have lived in Brownsville for 2 years and I can't believe we are just learning about this place. We ordered more food than needed because we wanted to try everything . I think next time we will order the same just without the chicken. I was not too impressed with it but the other meats were sooooo good that it was going to be hard for the chicken to match the flavor of the pork ribs or the crispiness of the pork belly! We also ordered moist brisket and it was very tender. The crispy pork belly was delicious! We will be coming back to this place and will make sure to share this place with everyone! Service was great and they have sitting inside and out.

This is by far the best barbecue in the valley and is right up there with some of the best in the state. The brisket is an obvious stand out, but the crispy pork belly is one of the best meats I've had at any barbecue restaurant. Gabriel was also a great host!

Yesterday, babe and I got the chance to finally visit Teddy's BBQ and we loved it! The star of the show wasn't even bbq!! We both agreed that the brussel sprouts were amazing. Like truly. The sweet and savory Asian sauce, perfectly crispy and chewy bacon bits, and melt in your mouth onions that say first look too thick but are actually perfect! My oh my! The lean brisket we had was awesome. Seasoned very well. The ribs were fall of the bone and had a nice peppery flavor. The crispy chicharrón was also bomb and we both liked the mac and cheese. Super tasty sausage as well, so suffice to say, we liked everything we got! Give them a try if you are near Weslaco. The inside is small with about 10 tables, but they have a large outside area with a bar truck parked out there for refreshment enjoyment. Service can be a little slow, especially if there is a line. Patience is valuable. Friendly staff.

Brisket was delicious and so were all the sides. Rice, beans and Mac. Crispy pork belly was good not great and pork rib was good. I would return for the brisket. Service was good.

Guys if you haven't had this BBQ you're missing out... This BBQ easily is one of the best I've ever had. I've been to the big names in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, etc., and this food is just as good if not better! Absolute killer! Had the chance to swing by during my last trip to the valley visiting my parents. Came with the whole fam so we did what we do best and got a little of EVERYTHING! The food was delicious! Great smoky flavor, everything was juicy and perfectly cooked. I had to force myself to stop eating it was so good! The staff was very friendly and patient while we asked for recommendations and made our decisions and the place itself is a little small on the inside and is very simple. People filtered in and out and it was anyone and everyone, blue collar bros, suits, law enforcement and families. The place was inviting, a little small for the amount of people ordering in line (while we were there) but we had no problem finding room to sit and hang out. 10/10 would recommend and would come back! Definitely some quality in the Valley thanks to this place!

Duck fat tortillas, period Solid brisket with great bark! The ribs are pretty sweet but delicious and the Mac and cheese is worth it ! I like the vibe outside with a margarita bar ! Great place to hang with good people and great food !
